TeamCity 8.1.2: More Stable and a Bit Faster

Here is a new stable build for your servers. It includes lots of fixes and some performance improvements as well as update of the bundled JetBrains tools. Some of the issues fixed can influence the entire server, so update is recommended.

As already usual with bugfix updates, you can upgrade/downgrade within any the 8.1.x TeamCity versions without data format conversions.

Check the upgrade notes and download the build.

We start to switch our main efforts to the development of TeamCity 9.0 with only critical fixes being integrated for 8.1.x versions. The final focus of 9.0 is still in the works, but likely we will work on improving experience of managing large servers and will add some often requested features. If you have any "favorite" direction you would love TeamCity to go into, you are welcome to post your thoughts in the comments.

One of the big issues we face for large servers is the ever growing list of archived projects. The one big thing that has hit us is that the VCS roots for an archived project are still monitored if they are attached to an active VCS root. We would love to find a solution to make an archived project... truly archived. Just don't process it.

Frankly we still find the TeamCity UI pretty confusing. I know this is a very general and unactionable statement, but no one in our team is "happy" with the UI.

Any specific comments?
Could you try to describe this in more detail? What are the typical tasks which cause confusion? How often does the team uses TeamCity UI?
You are welcome to post deails into a new thread at http://devnet.jetbrains.com/community/teamcity and post a link here.

How do you detect personal builds in PS? Ever since updating to 8.1.2 I can't use "%%BUILD_IS_PERSONAL%%" to determine if the build launched
